The Two Greatest Players of the Modern Game

The opinions go on
Lionel Messi, 23, is said to be the best player in the world mainly for his consistency of goal scoring and his team playing skills. However some may oppose to this view and state that Cristiano Ronaldo, 28, is more consistent than Messi and has proven himself in two major leagues, the Barclays Premier League and the La liga.
The previous campaign has showed Messi scoring a fabulous 60 goals in 50 appearances, likewise Ronaldo scoring 55 goals in 55 appearances. When looking at the two the records show that they are both consistent in what they do every season. However some may state that Messi has it a lot easy with the likes of Xavi and Iniesta providing the assist for Messi to run on to and score. Does this mean that Ronaldo don’t get help from his team mates, NO! However Ronaldo seems to be able to win a game on his own.
Can Messi do the same in other Leagues???
I suppose to real question that we all need to answer is if Messi can do the same in another team such as Arsenal. The physicality of the premier league can be challenging and to prove it on that stage would seal the deal. Two different kinds of players with the same effect, they both score goals, both gives assists and are both the top main players at their clubs. Messi seems to be more of a natural talented player rather than Ronaldo who is a top athlete and worked hard for the position he is in.
When Ronaldo was at Manchester United he scored 118 goals in 292 appearances, a good record for a player that was in development. Let us not forget the season where he netted 42, goals in 49, appearances remarkable in the Premier League. The record speaks for itself as Ronaldo has consistently scored goals throughout his career.
Some may say If Messi, came to the Premier League he would do the same thing because he is as talented and has the same threat has Ronaldo has. That may leave us to look at how both players do when it comes to international level.
International Level
Ronaldo has scored 39, goals and 104 appearances for his country whereas Messi has scores 35 goals in 85 appearances. This clearly shows us that on an international level Messi has scored more goals within a short period of time than Ronaldo himself.  What do we then say to this? Do we say the likes of Javier Mascherano and Angel di Maria keep giving the ball to Messi to score once again? When we look at these two players we must take in consideration that they are both excellent players and both of them may be as good as each other because when looking at the records none of them are significantly different to one another.
The Reality of the Matter
The reality is Messi may never move from Barcelona because his team suffocates him with their love, so to find out the real truth of which of these players are actually better lay in the hands of your opinions and to see what the season brings to see what unique special identity makes that player different to every other Footballer.  Ronaldo looks like a player who would move about for new challenges and is likely to prove himself in the near future if he pursues a move away from Real Madrid. Let the opinions begin!!!!
